Prof. C. N. R. Rao

We should be concerned about the way in which science is taught to our future generations and in schools. He said that he was ashamed of India's standing in the bottom of the table for science teaching. Prof. Rao ended his speech by saying that a social revolution is necessary to change this status where all of us should contribute our share.

President of AIPSN D.Ragunandan

Spreading the scientific method and working against the obscurantist tendencies of the society are the major objectives of AIPSN. Through this congress, he pointed out that we are working towards a nation and state level anti-superstitious bill to carry forward the struggle.

Shri Hamid Ansari, Vice-President of India

Promotion and embedding of science and scientific temper in citizenry is a constitutional duty, apart from being a moral one, "if we are to emerge as a modern, progressive nation."
